LAND VALUATION ACT 2010 - SECT 229
General powers after entering places
(1) To achieve the purpose of the entry, the authorised person may do any of
the following (each a
"general power" )— (a) inspect, test, photograph or film anything at the
place;
(b) copy a document at the place or take a document at the place to
another place to copy it;
(c) examine, inspect, or film, photograph,
videotape or otherwise copy or record an image of a document or other thing at
the place;
(d) take into or onto the place any persons, equipment and
materials the authorised person reasonably requires for exercising the
authorised person’s powers.
(2) The authorised person may take a necessary
step to allow the exercise of a general power.
(3) If an authorised person
takes a document from a place to copy it, the document must be copied as soon
as practicable and returned to the place.
(4) The general powers may be
exercised to the extent given in the occupier’s consent.
