MINING AND QUARRYING SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT 1999 - SECT 249

249 Protection for officers

(1) A person must not disadvantage an officer for exercising the officer’s powers under this Act.

Penalty—

Maximum penalty—500 penalty units.

(2) In this section—

"officer" means—

(a) an inspector; or

(b) an inspection officer; or

(c) an authorised officer; or

(d) a district workers’ representative; or

(e) a site safety and health representative.
