MINERAL RESOURCES ACT 1989 - SECT 336
Appointment—authorised officers
336 Appointment—authorised officers
(1) The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint a public
service officer as an authorised officer to carry out functions under this
Act.
(2) The chief executive may from time to time appoint a bailiff or
bailiffs to carry out the service and execution of all process, judgments and
orders authorised under this Act or any other Act relating to mining and such
other duties as may be prescribed.
(3) However, the chief executive may
appoint a person under this section to perform a function only if the chief
executive considers the person is appropriately qualified to perform the
function.
(4) In this section—
"functions" includes powers.
