Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated ActsThe Governor in Council may appoint a member of the Authority to act as the chairperson—
(a) during a vacancy in the office of chairperson; and
(b) during all periods when the chairperson is absent from duty or, for another reason, can not perform the functions of the office.
