QUEENSLAND BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION COMMISSION ACT 1991 - SECT 71D
Multiple contracts for the same residential construction work
71D Multiple contracts for the same residential construction work
(1) This section applies if a licensed contractor and a consumer enter into 2
or more separate contracts that— (a) could be the subject of a single
contract to carry out residential construction work; and
(b) if they were the
subject of a single contract, would be a contract to carry out residential
construction work.
(2) For this part, the separate contracts are taken to be
a single contract for which the contract price is the sum of the contract
prices for the separate contracts. Example of separate contracts— A
licensed contractor that manufactures and installs kitchens enters into one
contract with a building owner for the manufacture of a kitchen and a second
contract for its installation.
