QUEENSLAND CIVIL AND ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNAL ACT 2009 - SECT 57
General powers
57 General powers
(1) The tribunal may— (a) take evidence on oath; or
(b) act in the absence
of a party who has had reasonable notice of a proceeding; or
(c) adjourn a
proceeding.
(2) The tribunal— (a) may require a person appearing before the
tribunal to give evidence on oath; and
(b) may administer an oath to the
person.
(3) The tribunal may permit a person appearing as a witness before
the tribunal to give evidence by tendering a written statement, verified, if
the tribunal directs, by oath.
