RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES AND ROOMING ACCOMMODATION ACT 2008 - SECT 307C
Notice of intention to leave if entitlement to student accommodation ends
307C Notice of intention to leave if entitlement to student accommodation ends
(1) This section applies if— (a) premises are used for
student accommodation; and
(b) the tenant’s entitlement to occupy the
premises depends on the tenant being a student.
(2) The tenant may give a
notice of intention to leave the premises to the lessor if the tenant stops
being a student.
(3) A notice of intention to leave under this section is
called a notice of intention to leave for
"ending of entitlement to student accommodation" .
(4) This section does not
apply to moveable dwelling premises in a moveable dwelling park.
(5) In this
section—
"student" means a person enrolled in a course that, under the
Social Security Act 1991 (Cwlth) , section 569B , is an approved course of
education or study for section 569A (b) of that Act.
"student accommodation" means premises primarily used to provide accommodation
to students.
