(1) This section does not apply to—(a) an employer of a child if the employer is a parent of the child; or(b) an employer of a young child if the child works in the entertainment industry.
(2) If a child is injured or becomes ill while at work and is no longer able to work, an employer of the child must ensure all reasonable steps are taken to notify a parent of the child about the injury or illness or, if it is not practicable to notify a parent, a nominated person for the child.Penalty—Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
