ELECTRICAL SAFETY REGULATION 2013 - REG 79
Trimming of trees near overhead electric line
(1) The person in control of an overhead electric line must ensure that trees
and other vegetation are trimmed, and other measures taken, to prevent contact
with the line that is likely to cause injury from electric shock to any person
or damage to property. Penalty— Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
(2) In this section—
"overhead electric line" does not include an overhead electric line owned by
an electricity entity.
