Contents of pre-treatment pest control advice
14 Contents of pre-treatment pest control advice
(1) A licensed technician must ensure a pre-treatment pest control advice for
a pest control activity given by the technician under section 13 states the
following information— (a) the contact details of— (i) if the technician
is carrying out the activity for another person who is a business
operator—the operator’s business; or
(ii) otherwise—the technician;
(b) the date the technician gives the pre-treatment pest control advice to the
customer;
(c) a statement that, under the Act , the technician must not use a
pesticide for the activity unless the pesticide is a substance that is
APVMA approved for use to carry out the activity;
(d) the precautions that
should be taken by persons at the place to minimise exposure to any pesticide
used for carrying out the activity; Examples of precautions for paragraph
(d)— • removing or protecting people or animals while the pest control
activity is carried out
• cleaning items exposed to a pesticide before use
(e) a statement of any warranties applying in relation to the activity;
(f) a
statement of any limitations applying in relation to the activity.
(2) In
this section—
"APVMA approved" , in relation to a use for a substance, see section 14 (4) of
the Act .
