Keeping and maintaining equipment at AIS
108 Keeping and maintaining equipment at AIS
(1) The proprietor of an AIS must— (a) keep at the AIS the
required equipment for the AIS approval; and
(b) ensure the equipment is
maintained so it efficiently performs the function for which it is designed.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—30 penalty units.
(2) If the proprietor
is not the holder of the AIS approval, the holder must give the proprietor a
copy of the Business Rules for Approved Inspection Stations before vehicles
are inspected at the AIS.
(3) In this section—
"required equipment" , for an AIS approval, means equipment stated in the
Business Rules for Approved Inspection Stations as being necessary for
inspecting vehicles of the type that may be inspected under the AIS approval.
