Speed limit in a speed limited area

22 Speed limit in a speed limited area

(1) The speed limit applying to a driver for any length of road in a speed limited area is the number of kilometres per hour indicated by the number on the area speed limit sign on a road into the area, unless another speed limit applies to the driver for the length of road under another section of this part.
Example of another speed limit—

(2) A
"speed limited area" is the network of roads in an area with—
(a) an area speed limit sign on each road into the area, indicating the same number; and
(b) an end area speed limit sign on each road out of the area.
(3) In this section—

"road" , in subsection (2) (a) and (b) , does not include a road-related area.
