Traffic control devices applying to a marked lane
329 Traffic control devices applying to a marked lane
(1) A traffic control device (except a road marking) applies to a marked lane
if— (a) it is above the marked lane; or
(b) it is near the marked lane and
the device, the position of the device, or information on or with the device
indicates that it applies to the marked lane.
Example— An emergency
stopping lane only sign applies to the marked lane indicated by the arrow on
the sign.
(2) A road marking applies to a marked lane if it is on the
surface of the lane.
(3) However, a traffic control device does not apply to
a marked lane if information on or with the device expressly indicates that
the device does not apply to the marked lane.
(4) In subsection (1) (b) —
"the device" includes another traffic control device.
