TRANSPORT OPERATIONS (ROAD USE MANAGEMENT--VEHICLE STANDARDS AND SAFETY) REGULATION 2021 - REG 108

108 Making, possessing or using false or misleading documents

(1) A person must not, for this regulation, make, possess or use a document containing information the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.

Penalty—

Maximum penalty—60 penalty units.

(2) It is enough for a complaint against a person for an offence against subsection (1) to state that the statement made was ‘false or misleading’ to the person’s knowledge, without specifying which.

(3) This section does not apply in relation to a document given to the chief executive, the commissioner, an authorised officer or an accredited person.
