96 Destroying vegetation, excavating or placing fill in a watercourse, lake or
spring—Act, s 814
(1) For section 814 (2) (i) of the Act , destroying vegetation, excavating or
placing fill in a watercourse, lake or spring is permitted if the destruction,
excavation or placing of fill is carried out under— (a) a lease or authority
to prospect under the Petroleum Act 1923 ; or
(b) a licence, petroleum lease
or authority to prospect under the Petroleum and Gas Act : or
(c) a licence
under the Fossicking Act 1994 ; or
(d) an environmental authority for a
resource activity; or
(e) the document called ‘Riverine Protection Permit
Exemption Requirements’ approved by the chief executive and published on the
department’s website or the Queensland Government business and industry
portal.
(2) In this section—
"resource activity" see the Environmental Protection Act 1994 , section 107 .
