7—Exemptions from registration and insurance for certain motor vehicles
being towed or on display at prescribed events
(1) The following
motor vehicles may be used on roads without registration and insurance:
(a) a
motor vehicle (other than a trailer) that is being towed by a towtruck;
(b)
subject to subregulation (2)—an agricultural implement,
agricultural machine or any other motor vehicle that is on static display at a
prescribed event.
(2) The exemption set
out in subregulation (1)(b) is subject to the condition that there must
be in force a policy of insurance indemnifying the owner of the agricultural
implement, agricultural machine or other motor vehicle (as the case may be) in
the amount of at least $20 000 000 in relation to death or bodily
injury caused by, or arising out of, the static display of the agricultural
implement, agricultural machine or other motor vehicle at the prescribed
event.
