8—Exemption from registration and insurance for golf carts and mopeds
A golf cart or moped may be driven on roads without registration or insurance
subject to the following conditions:
(a) the
vehicle must not be driven on a road that does not form part of a golf course
except to travel by the shortest available route from one part of a
golf course to another part of the golf course;
(b) the
vehicle must not be used, either wholly or partly, for the purpose of hiring
it to another person for fee or reward;
(c) the
vehicle must not be driven except by the owner of the vehicle or a person
authorised by the owner of the vehicle;
(d) a
policy of public liability insurance indemnifying the owner and any authorised
driver of the vehicle in an amount of at least $10 000 000 in
relation to death or bodily injury caused by, or arising out of, the use of
the vehicle must be in force.
