8A—Exemption from registration and insurance for electric personal
transporters
An electric personal transporter may be driven on roads without registration
or insurance subject to the following conditions:
(a) the
transporter must not be driven except by the owner of the transporter or a
person authorised by the owner of the transporter;
(b) a
policy of public liability insurance indemnifying the owner and any authorised
driver of the transporter in an amount of at least $20 000 000 in
relation to death or bodily injury caused by, or arising out of, the use of
the transporter must be in force.
