58—Record of commendation of employee
(1) If an employee
displays unusual moral or physical courage or shows exceptional tact, skill or
ability, the officer in charge of the employee may, if it is considered that
the conduct of the employee justifies a commendation being recorded, cause a
report giving full particulars to be furnished to the Commissioner.
(2) The Commissioner
must, if satisfied (on the basis of that report or such further inquiry as the
Commissioner may require) that the conduct of the employee deserves
commendation, cause a record to be made in the employee's history.
