(1) A person must not
sell a consumer product.
Maximum penalty: $10 000.
Expiation fee: $500.
(2) In this
regulation—
"consumer product" means a device, article or thing that contains a
radioactive material and is designed and constructed for personal or domestic
use and not for use during the course of employment or the carrying on of an
occupation, but does not include an approved ionisation chamber smoke detector
or any device article or thing built before 1 January 1982.
