Despite a provision of the Business Names Act 1996 or any other Act or law, the Commission may refuse to exercise a function or power under Part 2 of Business Names Act 1996 during the transitional period if the Commission is of the opinion that it is appropriate for the matter to be dealt with under 1 or both of the Commonwealth Acts.
