BUSINESS NAMES REGISTRATION (TRANSITIONAL ARRANGEMENTS) ACT 2012 (NO 3 OF 2012) - SECT 6

6—Continuation of registration of certain business names

        (1)         Despite a provision of the Business Names Act 1996 , where the Commission decides to refuse to exercise a power under Part 2 of that Act to renew the registration of a business name that is due to expire during the transitional period, the Commission may extend the period of registration of that business name under that Act until the change-over day, or for such longer period as may be determined by the Commission (and any such extension will have effect according to its terms).

        (2)         This section does not limit or affect the operation of section 7.
