55—Improper directions to occupational therapists or
occupational therapy students
(1) If a person who
provides occupational therapy through the instrumentality of an
occupational therapist or occupational therapy student directs or pressures
the occupational therapist or occupational therapy student to engage in
unprofessional conduct, the person is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $75 000.
(2) If a person who
occupies a position of authority in a corporate or
trustee occupational therapy services provider directs or pressures an
occupational therapist or occupational therapy student through whom the
provider provides occupational therapy to engage in unprofessional conduct,
the person and the provider are each guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $75 000.
