STATUTES AMENDMENT (MINERAL RESOURCES) ACT 2019 (NO 29 OF 2019) - SECT 97

97—Amendment of section 73C—Interpretation

        (1)         Section 73C(1)—after the definition of "compliance order insert:

"emergency order"—see section 73KA;

        (2)         Section 73C(1), definition of "environment"—delete the definition and substitute:

"environment" includes—

            (a)         land, air, water (including both surface and underground water and sea water), organisms, ecosystems, native fauna and other features or elements of the natural environment; and

            (b)         buildings, structures and other forms of infrastructure, and cultural artefacts; and

            (c)         public health, safety or amenity;

        (3)         Section 73C(1), definition of "private mine"—delete the definition
