DANGEROUS GOODS (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 1998 (S.R. 1998, NO. 163) - REG 76
Objections to issue of fireworks permits
(1) Any of the following persons may object to the issue of a fireworks
permit: (a) the Commissioner of Police;
(b) the Chief Officer of the Tasmania
Fire Service;
(c) the general manager of the municipal area in which the
fireworks display is intended to be held.
(2) An objection is to be lodged with the Competent Authority no later
than 7 days after the issue of the permit.
(3) On receipt of an objection, the Competent Authority may
(a) revoke or alter the permit; or
(b) refuse to revoke or alter the permit.
(4) If the Competent Authority revokes or alters the permit
(a) the Competent Authority must give the permit holder immediate notice of
the revocation or alteration and the reasons for the alteration or revocation;
and
(b) the revocation or alteration takes effect on the giving of that
notice.
