An Act to give Legal Force and Effect within the State of Victoria to the Provisions of the Constitution of the Church of England in Australia contained in the Schedule to this Act, and for other purposes.

The Church of England in Australia Constitution Act 1960 was assented to on 1 June 1960 and came into operation as follows:

Section 10 on 1 June 1960: section 10(1); rest of Act on 1 January 1962: Government Gazette 8 November 1961 page 3870.

The name of this Act was changed from the Church of England in Australia Constitution Act 1960 to the Anglican Church of Australia Constitution Act 1960 by the Anglican Church of Australia Constitution (Amendment) Act 1977, No. 8984/1977 section 3(1).
