CONFISCATION ACT 1997 - SECT 88

Expiry of warrant

    (1)     A search warrant or a seizure warrant (other than a seizure warrant referred to in subsection (2)) ceases to have effect—

        (a)     at the end of the period of 1 month after its issue; or

        (b)     if it is recalled and cancelled by the magistrate or judge who issued it; or

        (c)     when it is executed—

whichever occurs first.

    (2)     A seizure warrant authorising a police officer to seize forfeited property specified in the warrant from a public place ceases to have effect—

        (a)     at the end of the period of 6 months after its issue; or

        (b)     if it is recalled and cancelled by the magistrate or judge who issued it; or

        (c)     when it is executed—

whichever occur first.
