EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ACT 2010 - SECT 185

S. 185(1) amended by No. 3/2021 s. 62.

    (1)     A person must not hinder or obstruct a relevant person who is performing a function under this Act or the Change or Suppression (Conversion) Practices Prohibition Act 2021 .

Penalty:     60 penalty units in the case of a natural person;

300 penalty units in the case of a body corporate.

    (2)     In this section—

"performing a function" includes exercising a power;

"relevant person" means—

        (a)     a member of the Board;

        (b)     the Commissioner;

        (c)     a member of staff of the Commission.
