Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current ActsSafe Transport Victoria, by notice published in the Government Gazette, may declare a part of State waters as waters in respect of which a local knowledge certificate is required to navigate types or classes of vessel specified in the notice.

In making a declaration under this section Safe Transport Victoria must have regard to guidelines made by the Minister under section 31A of the Transport Integration Act 2010 : see section 258(2).
