SUMMARY OFFENCES ACT 1966 - SECT 57

If a person who has filed a charge-sheet charging an offence against this Act does not appear at the hearing or declines or neglects to proceed upon or prosecute the charge the court may authorize some other person to proceed upon or prosecute the charge or may authorize any other person to take proceedings.
