OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS 2017 - REG 319ZB

Information to job applicants

An employer who is an engineered stone licence holder must ensure that an applicant who applies for employment with the employer at a workplace where an engineered stone process is undertaken is given information about—

        (a)     the health risks associated with exposure to crystalline silica dust; and

        (b)     the need for, and details of, measures to control those risks.

Penalty:     5 penalty units for a natural person;

    25 penalty units for a body corporate.
