ROAD SAFETY (AUTOMATED VEHICLES) REGULATIONS 2018 - REG 15

An ADS permit is subject to the following conditions—

        (a)     the ADS permit holder must maintain during the period of the ADS permit—

              (i)     a safety management plan; and

              (ii)     current insurance against public liability for personal injury or damage to property and any other insurance policies required by the Secretary to comply with the ADS guidelines;

        (b)     the ADS permit holder must ensure that—

              (i)     all relevant permits, approvals, accreditations or consents have been obtained prior to conducting the ADS trial and remain in place for the period of the ADS permit; and

              (ii)     no penalties in respect of the use of the automated vehicle are outstanding;

        (c)     the ADS permit holder must comply with the requirements of the Act and the regulations and rules made under the Act.
