TRANSPORT (COMPLIANCE AND MISCELLANEOUS) (TICKETING) REGULATIONS 2017 - REG 27

Exemptions

Regulations 7, 8, 9 and 22 do not apply in relation to anything done or omitted to be done by—

        (a)     a police officer, a protective services officer or an authorised officer acting in the course of their duties; or

        (b)     a person employed by a passenger transport company or a bus company acting in the course of the person's duties; or

        (c)     a person (other than a person referred to in paragraph (a) or (b)) who is authorised in writing to do or not do the thing by—

              (i)     a passenger transport company or a bus company in respect of that company's passenger vehicles or compulsory ticket areas owned or occupied by that company; or

              (ii)     the Secretary or the Head, Transport for Victoria; or

Reg. 27(d) substituted by S.R. No. 168/2019 reg. 7(b).

        (d)     a person travelling in a passenger vehicle or in a compulsory ticket area if the passenger transport company, the bus company, the Secretary or the Head, Transport for Victoria has determined that a ticket is not required for that travel or that entry to the compulsory ticket area.

              •     Free travel to a major event.

              •     The Heritage City Circle Tram Service.
