Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered Acts(1) If, in a proceeding for an offence against the Heavy Vehicle National Law (Victoria) or national regulations, any information held in a heavy vehicle's engine management system is relevant, any representation of that information derived from an engine management system reading device specified by the regulations is to be presumed, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, to be an accurate record of that information if the device is operated in the manner specified for that device in the regulations and the information is derived in accordance with the regulations.
(2) In this section—
"the regulations" means regulations made under the Road Safety Act 1986 for the purposes of section 79A of that Act.
