Victorian Numbered Acts Victorian Numbered Acts(1) The Secretary, by notice published in the Government Gazette, may exempt a person or a class of person from the requirement to hold—
(a) a management licence in respect of the radiation practice specified in the notice; or
(b) a use licence in respect of the use of a radiation source specified in the notice.
(2) An exemption may be of general or specific application.
(3) The Secretary may only exempt a person under sub-section (1) if he or she is satisfied that the radiation practice or use will not pose a significant risk to the health or safety of any person or the safety of the environment.
(4) An exemption is subject to the terms, conditions and limitations that are specified in the notice.
