An interim detention order expires on the first of the following to occur—
(a) at the end of its period of operation, including any extension of that period;
(b) on the determination of the application for a detention order or the renewal of a detention order in relation to which the interim detention order was made;
(c) on the deportation or removal of the offender from Australia under the Migration Act 1958 of the Commonwealth;
(d) on the death of the offender.
