Victorian Numbered Regulations Victorian Numbered RegulationsA passenger who boards a public commercial passenger vehicle or a public passenger vehicle operated for the purpose of a regular passenger service must—
(a) request and purchase a ticket that entitles the passenger to take his or her intended journey; or
(b) show the driver a pre-paid valid ticket or other authority to take the journey; or
(c) if the person is using a ticket that requires machine validation and there is an operational ticket validating machine on the vehicle, validate the ticket at that machine.
Penalty: 5 penalty units.
