Safeguarding of portable relics

27B. Safeguarding of portable relics

A person who knowingly picks up or collects a portable relic in Victoria or
who brings into Victoria or receives in Victoria a portable relic shall-

   (a)  safeguard it from loss or damage;

   (b)  forthwith give notice in writing to the Secretary describing the relic
        and stating where it was found or where it came from; and

   (c)  if required by the Secretary, make the relic available for
        identification.
