Offence to harbour or conceal person268. Offence to harbour or conceal person A person must not, in the knowledge that a person- (a) has escaped or is absent without lawful authority from a remand centre, youth residential centre or youth training centre in which the person is lawfully detained; or (b) has escaped from the custody of a member of the police force or other officer in whose legal custody the person is or is deemed to be under section 239(2), 242(2), 243(3) or 244(3)- harbour or conceal or assist in harbouring or concealing the person or prevent or assist in preventing the person from returning to that centre or custody. Penalty: 15 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 months.
