Public consultation11. Public consultation (1) If required by the Minister, an Advisory Committee must undertake public consultation in accordance with this section in relation to a matter referred to it by the Minister under section 6. (2) In carrying out public consultation for the purposes of subsection (1), the Advisory Committee must publish a public notice in a newspaper circulating generally in Victoria calling for representations on the matters referred to it. (3) A public notice must specify a time period, being not less than 21 days after the publication of the notice, within which representations may be made to the Advisory Committee in relation to a matter. (4) An Advisory Committee must consider all representations received by it within the period specified in the notice. (5) An Advisory Committee may consider, but is not required to consider, any late representations made to it.
