(1) A person who gives
to a member of a participating co-operative or to a person intending or
applying to become a member of a participating co-operative a copy of any
rules or any alterations of rules, other than those which have been registered
under the relevant corresponding co-operatives law, representing that they are
binding on the members of the participating co-operative is guilty of an
offence.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $1 000.
(2) A person who
alters any of the rules of a participating co-operative after they have been
registered under the relevant corresponding co-operatives law and circulates
them representing that they have been so registered when they have not been is
guilty of an offence.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $1 000.
