(1) Subject to
subsection (2), having made an assessment of an allegation the Commission may
decide to —
(a)
investigate or take action without the involvement of any other independent
agency or appropriate authority; or
(b)
investigate or take action in cooperation with an independent agency or
appropriate authority; or
(c)
refer the allegation to an independent agency or appropriate authority for
action; or
(d) take
no action.
(2) The Commission may
deal with a matter reported to it under section 30 as if it were a matter
notified under section 28(2).
