Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) This section
applies to and in respect of a compensation application made on or after 23
September 2003.
(2) If as a
consequence of 2 or more offences committed by one person that are not related
offences within the meaning of section 33(1), another person —
(a)
suffers injury; or
(b)
suffers loss as a close relative of a victim who dies as a consequence of one
or more of the offences; or
(c)
suffers both injury as described in paragraph (a) and loss as described in
paragraph (b),
the amounts awarded
under section 30(1) and (3) in favour of the person for the injury described
in paragraph (a) and any loss also suffered and for the loss described in
paragraph (b) must not in aggregate exceed twice the maximum amount that may
be awarded for the last one of the offences to be committed.
