A complaint about a
service provider referred to in section 320(1) may be made by a registration
board on behalf of a person who has or may have a mental illness or a carer of
a person who has or may have a mental illness if —
(a) the
service provider is a health professional or other person for whose
professional or occupational registration the registration board is
responsible; and
(b) the
registration board becomes aware that the health professional or other person
has acted, or failed to act, in a manner referred to in section 320(2) in
relation to the person who has or may have a mental illness or the carer.
