Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) This section
applies in relation to a person who is under a referral to which
section 599(3) applies.
(2) Subject to this
section, Part 6 Division 3 Subdivision 2 applies in relation to the person.
(3) The person cannot
be received into the place on or after commencement day if the referral has
expired because of section 599(5)(a).
(4) If the person was
received at the place before commencement day, the person is taken to be
detained at the place under section 58(1)(b).
(5) The period for
which the person can be detained under section 58(1)(b) expires at the end of
72 hours after the time when the person was received at the place under the
1996 Act.
