(1) The Minister may
ask a person to give the Minister information if —
(a) the
information is relevant to the operation of this Act; and
(b) the
Minister has reasonable grounds for believing that the person is able to give
the information.
Note:
The person must comply
with the request (see section 372).
(2) The Minister may
ask the person to give the information to —
(a) the
Minister; or
(b) an
inspector nominated by the Minister.
(3) The request must
—
(a) be
made by written notice given to the person; and
(b)
specify the person to whom the information is to be given; and
(c)
specify the period within which the information is to be given.
(4) The information
must be given —
(a) in
writing; and
(b)
before the end of the period specified in the request.
(5) The document
containing the information must be signed by —
(a) if
the information is given by a body corporate, an authorised officer of the
body corporate; or
(b) if
the information is provided by an individual, the individual.
