(1) The power to make
a designation includes —
(a) the
power to revoke a designation previously made; and
(b) in
relation to a person ( person A ) who is designated, the power to designate a
person or class of persons to perform functions of person A when it is
impractical for person A to perform the functions; and
(c) in
relation to a class of persons ( class A ) who are designated, the power to
designate a person or class of persons to perform functions of persons in
class A when it is impractical for persons in class A to perform the
functions.
(2) These must be in
writing —
(a) a
designation;
(b) a
revocation of a designation.
