(1) In this section
—
order means an order under section 90(2).
(2) An order is
subsidiary legislation for the purposes of the Interpretation Act 1984 .
(3) The
Interpretation Act 1984 section 42 applies to an order as if the order were
regulations made under this Act.
(4) An order comes
into operation —
(a) on
the day on which it is made; or
(b) on
any later day specified in the order.
(5) Despite subsection
(2), the day on which an order comes into operation may be earlier than the
day on which the order is published in the Gazette .
(6) Unless sooner
repealed, an order has effect for the period of 6 months, or any lesser period
specified in the order, and expires at the end of that period.
