(1) If a court makes a
restitution order against a person other than the offender (a third party ),
the court may make a compensation order in favour of the third party.
(2) Such a
compensation order is an order that the offender must pay an amount of money
set by the court to the third party as compensation for —
(a) the
property that the third party is required to give to the victim by reason of
the restitution order made against the third party; and
(b) any
expense reasonably incurred by the third party in connection with complying
with the restitution order.
