(1) This section is in
addition to and does not affect the operation of the
Judges’ Retirement Act 1937 .
(2) With the
Governor’s approval a person may resign from the office of Chief
Justice, President, or judge of appeal, without resigning from the office of
judge.
(3) With the
Governor’s approval a person may resign from the office of President
without resigning from the office of judge of appeal.
(4) With the
Governor’s approval a person may resign from the office of Chief Justice
without resigning from the office of judge of appeal.
(5) A person who
resigns from the office of President or judge of appeal without resigning from
the office of judge may complete the hearing and determination of any appeal,
application or proceeding that was pending before the person immediately
before the resignation took effect.
